The first step to getting custom coins is simply send us your idea. It can be a sketch, photo, or logos in AI, EPS, or PDF formats.

Step 2

Receive Your Custom Proof (& Request Revisions if Needed)

After you give us your design idea, we will then create a proof and we work with you until we get your approval.

Step 3

Approve & Production Begins

Your approved artwork will be sent to our custom lapel pin production line where we will machine a custom lapel pin mold to begin the production process! The complete process usually takes 10-14 days

Step 4

Your Order Gets Shipped

Once your lapel pins are completed and pass quality-control, they are packed and shipped! We ship free via UPS Next Day Air to U.S. addresses because no one likes to wait, especially for custom pins.

What Are the Best Designs for Soft Enamel Lapel Pins?

Because soft enamel pins are die struck and feature raised metal borders separating all their enamel colorfills, they are the best pin type for designs that have defined and clearly separated colors. You can see samples here. For intricate designs involving gradients or fine details, photographic lapel pins or silk screen lapel pins would work best. The best of both worlds is the slightly more expensive cloisonne lapel pin. It features the clean color delineation of soft enamel pins but gives you the option to add fine details to the surface of the custom pin with silkscreens due to its smooth surface.

Choosing a Plating

The plating selection for your custom enamel pins is extremely important. It can change the whole look of the pin and take it from classic Americana to modern and edgy. Most custom corporate pins feature traditional metallic platings of gold, silver, or copper. For pin designs with light paint colors or lots of text, we recommend going with the antique versions of these metallic platings to enhance legibility. Modern designs frequently utilize our colored metal finishes though. The most popular is our black metal finish, which makes for a striking lapel pin that features very bold lines. This lapel pin finish is very reminiscent of striking comic book pen and ink artwork.

The pins came out as shown in the picture correctly, but 40 of my pins are B Grade due to color imperfections. I am still obsessed with them though. Communication was great with quick responses. One thing I recommend MOST is to make orders one month ahead of your deadline. I thought I was able to receive it in the same month as advertised 10 days (ordered beginning of month and hoped to receive end of month). It got shipped on the date I was hoping to already receive. Because of the pandemic, shortage of workers, no flights, and holidays it took a bit longer to arrive. Wish the website was more transparent letting the customers know where the pins are made, I thought it was made in the USA from their information given. Will use All About Pins again for more custom orders.
