Shipping FAQ for the All About Network

From time to time, our customers ask questions about the shipping process.  As a courtesy to them, we have decided to write a blog addressing this subject today.  Here are some of the most common questions we answer about our shipping process:

Can we split ship the order to different addresses?

Yes. We can ship to different addresses. The first destination is free of charge but each additional address would be extra. Please contact us for additional details.

Can we ship to PO boxes?

We ship to physical addresses only.  We do make exceptions for members of the military which leads us to the next question that is asked.

I’m stationed overseas, can you ship to my APO/DPO/FPO address?

Yes, we do ship to those military and government post offices. The cost of shipping starts at $20.00 and up.

What shipping company do you use?

We ship our products via UPS (United Parcel Service).

Can you ship my order with another courier like DHL, FedEx, etc.?

We can indeed ship with other companies but please note we pass on large discounts to our customers because we ship through UPS.

Can you use my company’s shipping account?

Since we provide free shipping, it would be best to take advantage of the service we provide. If you require that we send your package any other way, we can make arrangements to use your company’s shipping account.

Do I need to be present to sign for my package?

Yes, we require a signature from an adult to deliver your order. You would have the option to pick up the package from UPS’s hub if you are not available to sign at a certain time.

What time of day does UPS attempt to deliver my package?

If you are at a business location, packages are usually delivered by 10:30 am.  Packages are delivered in the late afternoon or early evening for residences.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping typically takes 2 business days.  The time quoted may change depending on customs. Custom holds are random and cannot be anticipated unfortunately.

Do you ship to countries other than the USA?

We definitely do. If UPS delivers in your country we can have coins sent to you. Please contact us to determine the extra cost involved with international shipping.

Questions About the Proofing Process Answered By the All About Network

This past week, we have received a number of questions about the proofing process.  In fact, many of our customers have asked, “What happens with my proof after we finalize the look and feel of my coin/pin/lanyard/patch? Do you keep it on hand?”  The answer to the question is that, “Yes, we do keep it on hand because we know that you may one day want to order or reorder from us.”

It’s quite common for a proof to be completed and a purchase to come in at a later date. We understand that there may be a lot of hurdles to overcome to get approval to make a purchase, raise funds for the order, and even gather additional feedback on the design from your peers. We keep your proofs on a high capacity server with multiple back-ups which means we will have your artwork on hand for many, many years. We are ready to complete your order for you whenever you are ready to proceed.

You might also want to know what happens to your mold after you make a purchase from us.  Much like our proofs we keep molds on hand for many years. This means lower costs on challenge coin reorders and also consistent looking lapel pins and custom coins for future orders.

Having quality products on hand whenever you need them is a great asset in today’s world.  You never know when you’ll need a recognition award gift or something to hand out to a potential business partner or client.  Let the All About Network be the one you come to for all of your challenge coin, lapel pin, lanyard, and patch needs.  We take your design ideas and turn them into something concrete and worthy of praise.

All About Coins Creates a Design to Use on Challenge Coins as Well as Patches for Customer

From time to time, our customers are happily surprised to find out we actually manufacture more than one type of product?  So was the case with the subject of this blog.  He originally wanted to have custom challenge coins created but once he saw the artwork we created, he decided that he had to have custom embroidered patches created as well.  This illustrates our capability to create products for the customer in a variety of mediums.

Customers appreciate being able to use one source for all of their personalized product needs.  In fact, it helps build confidence in our services and simplifies the ordering process for our customer which is essentially a win-win situation.  We benefit from the increase in business and the men and women that order from us get familiar with our policies and way of handling their order.  This often amounts to repeat customers.

The fact that the same artist renders both designs allows for a continuation of customer satisfaction with the artwork.  The use of the same vector artwork means that the graphics of the two items will be as close as minute manufacturing tolerances will allow.   Metallic finishes on coins can be simulated with metallic threads in patches.

However, the different textures can give the two products a very different yet appealing look.  You will have two quality items to give away at your convenience and multiple opportunities to further your brand, business or group because of our custom products.

There will be no doubt where your custom challenge coins, lapel pins, embroidered patches, buttons or lanyards come from when you order from the All About Network.  We take the extra steps necessary to make sure your items are exactly like you want them to be.  We submit a full color digital proof to you via email so you can see what your items might look like when they are created a certain way.  Once everything looks the way you want it to, you approve the design and we send your order to the production department.  In a matter of days, your products arrive to your doorstep.

Rockets Across America Uses Custom Embroidered Patches to Promote Its Rides

Are you a Triumph Rocket III enthusiast?  If you are not, you may be wondering what the Triumph Rocket is. The Triumph Rocket is a British motorcycle made by the Hinckley Triumph Factory in Great Britain. The bike manufacturer, which started out with bicycles back in 1884, has been building motorcycles since 1902. Its Triumph Rocket series uses the largest engine of any mass produced motorcycle on the market. Since its debut in 2003, the Rocket Motorcycle has gained a large following and has even had a biker club established in its name.

“The British Invasion Has Begun”

Rockets Across America is forum and motorcycle riding group for Triumph Rocket III owners and enthusiasts.  All About Patches was given an exciting opportunity to participate in the “British invasion” and design customized embroidered patches for each of the group’s upcoming rides.

The rectangular custom patch you see here is just as exciting and adrenaline charged as the ride that these rocket mounting bikers will take. With the organization’s name spread wide across the top in patriotic red white and blue colors, there is no question about who they are. The destination, ride date and name, as well as the route appear on the patch also. The most eye catching feature is the bright yellow number “6” dressed in fiery red and yellow flames, making it obvious that the group is ready for adventure.

Patches Are Versatile By Design

It is common place for groups to use custom made patches not only as an exclusive items for biker club members but also as mementos of their riding experience.  There are however, other ways in which the patches can be used.

Those who plan to participate in rides can be given a patch to signify their involvement.  Passing the patches out to enthusiasts and club supporters during the ride is a great way to promote the club and say thank you. Also, if biker clubs need additional funding, the patches can always be used as a fundraiser item during the time leading up to the specified ride.

All About Patches was able to design this triumphant and attention demanding patch by using a few of our many embroidered patch design options. To learn more about our design options, please visit our Embroidered Patch page at http://www.allaboutpatches.com/pricing.html

Types of Custom Patches: Embroidery Percentages and Applications for Each of Them

Custom Embroidered Patches make a bold statement.  Applied to highly visible areas, they can help market a product or service, advertise an upcoming event or reward a personal or professional achievement.  Despite their similar appearance, embroidery percentages and applications differ from patch to patch.  This handy guide will provide examples and the information necessary to make a decision on what type of custom patches to order for your company, group or organization.

Embroidery Percentages

To the untrained eye, embroidered patches look alike.  There are some very big differences.  Here are a few things to take into consideration:

  • 50% Embroidery.  Very simple design, logo, or text.  50% or less of the design is actually stitched.  The rest of the twill backing will show.
  • 75% Embroidery. Some of the backing twill will still show but the design can be more detailed and cover more area of the patch.
  • 100% Embroidery.  The entire patch is completely stitched, including the backing color which gives the item the most amount of detail.

The MSSC patch we created was 50% embroidered.  This type of application is a real value.  Our customer was pleased with the clean lines and simple design of the patch.

The Subron Six Smoke Boat Sisters patch was 75% embroidered.  This allowed us to hone in on specific details and give the patch the attention that it deserved.

The Liverpool F.C. America patch was 100% embroidered.  We were able to give every element of the design rich detail.

Knowing the different types of embroidery options can help you make the right decision when it comes to designing your own custom patches.  Take into consideration the purpose of your order and the underlying message you want to convey and you will easily be able to determine what style of embroidered patch best fits your needs.  You can also contact All About Patches with any questions you might have.
