Our Suggestions for Designing Your Best Custom Trading Lapel Pins Yet

This is the time of year in which demands for custom trading pins, especially those related to baseball, softball and little league, are at their highest. Often, upon submitting a new pin order, our customers ask us what we think are the best design elements for their lapel pins. This is one of our favorite questions because it gives us an opportunity to discuss our wide assortment of design options.

What to Consider First

The first thing we tell them is that designing the perfect trading pin is a process. When thinking about your custom trading pin, taking into consideration what information needs to be in your design helps the process move  along a little faster. After that, we suggest talking to the players and coaches about the following:

  • Should the players’ names and numbers be on the pin?
  • Is the year or age group they play important to them?
  • Which elements of baseball should we include, if any? For example, baseball bats, fields, diamonds, gloves, hats or bats
  • Should the team’s colors and logo appear on the pin?
  • Is the hometown or home-state a defining element?
  • Does the team have a mascot?
  • Does the team have a motto or catch phrase?

Putting It All Together

We know this appears simply as an outline, but you would be surprised at how affective taking all of these things into consideration can be. Once the key elements of the lapel pin design have been decided, all that is left is determining how they will be presented. That is where our wide selection of design options and talented graphic designers come into play.

Unique Layout Ideas for Your Custom Trading Pin Design

Prior to the onset of this year’s baseball and softball seasons, we are finding that our customers are getting more creative with the designs of their custom trading lapel pins. There have been many little league teams that had us create custom team pins unlike any others we have seen or produced before. The elements of style and creativity used in the lapel pin design make the pins exceptionally tradable as well as collectible. With collectability playing a major role in your custom trading pins success, arriving at the perfect customized pin is an absolute must.

It Is Truly the Little Things That Matter

When it comes to the size of a custom lapel pin, many people are only familiar with the small discreet items seen on corporate or professionally dressed employees. However, for trading pin purposes, going a little larger is always a good idea. Creating a baseball trading pin large enough to incorporate the details you want everyone to see and appreciate is the first step to designing a highly demanded and collectible trading pin.

Once your size has been decided, the details within the design will determine how far you lapel pins will go. Information like team members’ names, age group, your local area and year can be included to give the pin an informative trait. Images such as the team logo or mascot complemented by design extras like spinners and glitter will make the pin extra special.

A Great Example of a Unique Trading Pin Layout

Looking at the fun and all encompassing lapel pin above, you can see that it contains some content that you would not normally see on a team lapel pin. The baseball bats crossing in the background, a sea otter, the team’s mascot, tenaciously gripping a bat in its mouth, along with the team’s name and location are design features commonly used in custom trading pins. However, the list of names filling the inner circle is not. Including the players’ name in the pin design is what will make this particular lapel pin a treasured collectible for many years to come.

You too can follow the lead of other softball and little league teams and design an unforgettable custom trading lapel pin. By ordering early you can receive your pin order in plenty of time. Golf Channel Guests and VIPs Receive Custom Collectible Trading Lapel Pins

The Golf Channel was first launched by Joseph E. Gibbs of Birmingham Alabama, in collaboration with Arnold Palmer, in the 1995. Since then, the network has become available in over 120 million American home and the standard station for watching Golf on television.

Renowned Golf Events Find a New Home

In 2007, the channel partnered with the PGA tour to provide complete coverage of the seasons many golf events. One of the many tournaments that Golf Channel staff and viewers are looking forward to is the 2011 Kingsmill Classic which is schedule to take place on April 16th – the 17th and is completely sold out. Many of the events ticket holders will be receiving the custom collectible trading pins that the Golf Channel commissioned All About Pins to create.

Classic Memorabilia

Golf Channel’s 2011 Kingsmill Classic attendees and VIPs will get one of four custom lapel pins made not only for collectability, tradability, and remembrance but also for exclusivity.  Though having four different lapel pin designs may seem like a bit much, if you look closely at the pins displayed here, you will see that, in actuality, there are only two lapel pin designs.

Customized Pins Make Everyone Special

The two lapel pins that were made for general attendees are what we refer to as all metal designs.  That is not to suggest that we manufacture lapel pins with a material other than metal. By saying “all metal” we are referring to the pins lack of color. Rather than using color fills, the pins were given a high polished finish.

Golf Channel’s VIP lapel pins are virtually the same except for the use of color fills in the pin’s design.  Making a simple distinction, like only having colors on half of your custom pin order, is an inexpensive and easy way to have specific pins for sub groups.

If you are planning on hosting an event in which your attendees will belong to specific groups or categories, at least now you know you have the option of keeping the original mold and using only one or two pin designs. By making subtle distinctions to the pins you can still achieve the desired results.  Your efforts might mark the beginning a new collecting and trading pin tradition within your organization.

North Carolina Car Club Hand Outs Custom Club Lapel Pins

The 02 Group is a North Carolina based 2002 BMW owners club started in 2002 by Scott Sturdy. Its purposes are to give enthusiasts a place to meet and enjoy their ’02 BMW’s. The BMW, a German car built between 1967 and 1976, is the always the main attraction at the group’s car meets.

The German car club’s focus revolves around fun driving and yearly BMW events. For Oktoberfest, a major part of German heritage, the group hosts a large car meet. When they contracted us to create exclusive car pins to give out to participants and guests, we simply could not pass up the opportunity.

A Car Lapel Pin as Classic as the Vehicle Itself

The customized club pins were made to commemorate the event itself as well as the success of the meet.  The most notable features of the lapel pins design are its car and emblem images, rich colors, and shape.

Rather than crafting a pin in a traditional round shape, The 02 Group’s personalized lapel pin was fashioned in the shape of a shield.  It displays bold yellow, blue, red, and green background colors.  The sparkling silver classic BMW complete with its logo demands attention.  The phrase “02berfest” in worked into the upper portion of the shield while the event year, 2010, stated at the bottom.

This customized pin is not only a great keepsake but is also a perfect for adornment on hats, vests and jackets.  It can be attached to a car visor or set on a dashboard to show participation in or attendance at the event. They are also great collectible pins.

Making Your Group Function Even More Memorable

The 02 Group, like all of our satisfied customers, knows first-hand why we are the lapel pin company you can trust.  No matter what type of group you belong to, our talented graphic artists and knowledgeable representatives will assist you with all of your custom pin needs.
